BATON ROUGE, La. – Weather continued to wreak havoc on the David Toms Intercollegiate, Saturday, as the event was shortened to a 36-hole tournament. The Oral Roberts men’s golf team shot 301 in the lone round of the day to move to seventh overall. After entering the day with a three shot lead, LSU put together an incredible round of 277 (-11) on Saturday to win the team championship by 17 shots.

Cody Burrows and Mike Biata each finished inside the top 20 for the first time this season, tying for 16th and 18th, respectively. Biata posted eight birdies, tied for the fourth most in the field.

After the entire tournament was moved up a day prior to starting, Saturday’s round was delayed and the tournament was eventually shorted to 36-holes.

In his first collegiate tournament, Carter Marcontell finished tied for first in the field with a 2.88 (-1) average on the par 3 holes.

Josh Montgomery carded one of 10 eagles in the tournament.
