Busy week for Cowboys in Valspar, Barona Cup

PALM CITY, Fla. Oklahoma State’s men’s golf team returns to action this week when it takes part in the Valspar Collegiate Invitational at the Floridian Golf Club.



The Cowboys, who finished sixth at the event last year, will be one of 15 teams competing at the par-71, 7,114-yard layout. The event will consist of 54 holes over two days with 36 being contested on Monday followed by Tuesday’s final round.



OSU will be grouped with Memphis and Texas A&M for its first round, which is slated to get underway with a shotgun start at 9 a.m. (EST).



The Cowboy lineup will consist of sophomore Brendon Jelley, senior Jordan Niebrugge, junior Wyndham Clark, sophomore Kristoffer Ventura and redshirt freshman Hayden Wood.



OSU will also have four individuals competing this week on the west coast. The quartet of junior Zachary Olsen, freshman Zach Bauchou, redshirt freshman Nick Heinen and sophomore Stratton Nolen will be in the field at the Barona Collegiate Cup in San Diego.
