Chen leads OSU to victory in Schooner Fall Classic

Chih-Min Chen, a freshman from Taipei, Taiwan, shot rounds of 65-68 to help Oklahoma State to a strong victory Monday in the Schooner Fall Classic hosted by the University of Oklahoma at Belmar Golf Club in Norman.
 
The tournament was shortened to 36 holes as Sunday’s second round was canceled due to thunderstorms.
 
Chen finished second individually to Yupaporn Kawinpakorn of Kansas, who shot rounds of 63-68 to finish at 11-under.
 
Two other Cowgirls tied for 19th in Kenzie Neiesen (68-75) and Alexis Sadeghy (74-69) as the Cowgirls finished at 14-under-par as a team, seven shots better than Texas A&M.
 
Oklahoma finished in sixth place at 6-over after a 1-over second round. The Sooners were led by Hannah Wood (71-66) who tied for fourth at 5-under.
 
The University of Tulsa finished last in the 12-team field at 44 over. Complete team and individual scores can be found here.
