Cline, Noel earn spots in U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship next month

Kelsey Cline of Norman shot a 69 to at Gaillardia Country Club to win a qualifier for the 2016 U.S. Mid-Amateur Championship, scheduled Sept. 10-15 at Sonewall Links in Elverson, Pa.

Ben Blundell of Oklahoma City and Jared Taylor of Edmond tied for second at 70 to grab the other two qualifying spots available.

In another qualifier at The Blessings in Northwest Arkansas, former University of Tulsa golfer Chris Noel of Tulsa finished second to Packard Dewitt to earn a spot. Dewitt shot 68, Noel 69 and Earl Jacks of Claremore shot 71 to earn the third and final spot.
