CHULA VISTA, Calif. – Oklahoma State’s men’s golf team will put its four-tournament winning streak to the test this week when it takes part in the Lamkin San Diego Classic at San Diego Country Club.

After winning the Querencia Cabo Collegiate in their last outing, the top-ranked Cowboys have won four events in a row, including all three of their starts this spring. Head coach Alan Bratton’s squad will be looking to win five in a row for the first time since the 1994-95 squad did so under then-head coach Mike Holder.

In addition to their victory in Mexico, the Cowboys streak began with their win in October at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate to close the fall slate. They opened the spring with a victory at the Amer Ari Invitational and followed with their triumph at The Prestige at PGA West.

This week, OSU will be one of 16 teams in action at the par-72, 7,033-yard layout. The field will play 36 holes on Monday, beginning with an 8:30 a.m. (PST) shotgun start. Tuesday’s final round will get underway at 8 a.m.

The Cowboy starting five will consist of sophomore Viktor Hovland, freshman Matthew Wolff, junior Zach Bauchou, senior Kristoffer Ventura and freshman Austin Eckroat.

All five members of the OSU starting five currently carry a ranking of 31 or better in the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings. Wolff checks in at No. 3 and is followed by Eckroat (No. 16) and Bauchou (No. 18). Hovland is ranked 22nd, while Ventura rounds out the starting five at No. 31.

Live scoring will be available at golfstat.com.
