BRYAN, Texas – Oklahoma State’s men’s golf team will look to repeat as champions of the Aggie Invitational this weekend when play gets underway at Traditions Club.
The fourth-ranked Cowboys will be one of 13 teams in action at the par-72, 7,146-yard layout. The event will get underway on Saturday at 7:30 a.m. with 36 holes being played on day one. The final round will get underway on Sunday at 7:30 a.m.
The Cowboys have won the tournament on three occasions, claiming the inaugural title in 2005 before adding another victory in 2009. Last year, OSU won the tournament by two shots, while junior Kristoffer Ventura picked up his first career win, sharing medalist honors with Arkansas’ Alvaro Ortiz.
In addition to Ventura, Rickie Fowler (2009) and Peter Uihlein (2011) have also secured medalist honors at the event for OSU.
Ventura will be joined in the lineup this week by sophomore Hayden Wood, senior Zachary Olsen, sophomore Zach Bauchou and freshman Viktor Hovland. Junior Brendon Jelley will compete individually.
The Cowboys will also have three individuals in action this weekend at the Hoosier Invitational. Sophomore Nick Heinen, junior Stratton Nolen and redshirt freshman Tyson Reeder will all compete at Indiana University Golf Course over the weekend as well.
