WILMINGTON, N.C. – Solid final rounds from Han-Hsuan Yu, Lianna Bailey and Isabella Fierro helped the No. 16 Oklahoma State women’s golf team best nine top-50 squads in a fourth-place finish at the Landfall Tradition.
The Cowgirls closed out the fall season by shooting a solid 3-over par 291, which was anchored by 1-over 73 outings from Yu, Bailey and Fierro.
Fierro tied for sixth at 2-under 214 to earn her third top-10 finish in four collegiate events. The freshman is coming off an individual victory at the Betsy Rawls Invitational and her season stroke average of 70.42 is currently the best in school history.
The sophomore duo of Bailey and Yu finished just a stroke apart in 13th and 17th place, respectively. Bailey racked up five birdies on Sunday to end the weekend at 1-over 217, while Yu was 3-under over the final 11 holes to card a 2-over 218.
Michelle Forsland rallied to shoot 72 in the final round to finish tied for 62nd, while freshman Hailey Jones finished in a tie for 77th place.
The Cowgirls will now break for the winter and compete again at the UCF Challenge in Orlando, Florida on Feb. 2-4.
