NEW ORLEANS – The No. 13 Oklahoma State women’s golf team fell just short of claiming its second tournament title of the season at the All-State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate, finishing just one stroke behind No. 11 Florida for the title.

The Cowgirls battled a weather delay and a field filled with six top 25 teams to claim second place at 1-under, 863. This gives OSU top five finishes in four of its six events this season.

Despite shooting 5-over as a team on the day, Florida claimed the team title at 2-under behind Karolina Vlckova’s 2-under 70.

Chih-Min Chen finishes the tournament tied for seventh at 2-under after shooting a 1-over 73 in the final round.

The low round of the day for the Cowgirls came from Linnea Johansson. The redshirt junior shot a 2-under 70 and moved up ten spots on the leaderboard to finish tied for 11th.

Michigan State’s Sarah Burnham and LSU’s Sydney Cavin shared the individual title at 5-under, 211.

Kenzie Neisen placed 20th after a 1-under 71 final round. She also birdied five times for the second consecutive round to finish with 13 birdies – tied for most in the field.

Maddie McCrary finished tied for 15th in her first tournament of the spring at even par following a final round 1-over 73.

Isabella Deilert finishes tied for 73rd at 16-over and shot a final round of 78.

Next up for the Cowgirls is the Burin Wave Invitational at San Luis Obispo Country Club in San Luis Obispo, Calif., on February 28.
