Cowgirls in command going into final round in Hawaii

KANE’OHE, Hawaii – With three golfers in the top ten after 36 holes at the Dr. Donnis Invitational, the Oklahoma State Cowgirls will enter the final round with the clubhouse lead.

 

Maddie McCrary continues her stellar spring season by finishing the day at 5-under to take the individual lead.

 

The sophomore opened the day with a 3-under 69 and followed it up with a 2-under 70. McCrary is in the hunt for her third straight top five finish and seeks to win her first ever collegiate event.

 

As a team, the Cowgirls are at 7-under and hold a seven-stroke advantage over Pepperdine and McCrary holds a one-stroke lead over Pepperdine’s Hira Naveed.

 

Kenzie Neisen and Emma Broze are tied for 7th and 1-under. Neisen shot rounds of 71 and 72 and Broze followed up a 1st round 74 with a 3-under 69.

 

Neisen is looking for her second top ten finish on the year and Broze is in contention for her first top ten finish this season.

 

Linnea Johannson is 11th at 1-over. The redshirt junior shot rounds of 74 and 71 on the day.

 

Neisen, Broze and Johannson all finished tied for 2nd at this event last year.

 

Chih-Min Chen is tied for 15th at 3-over after rounds of 73 and 74.

 

Competing as individuals, Alexis Sadeghy and Isabella Deilert are tied for 52nd and tied for 77th respectively.

 

Tee times for tomorrow’s final 18 holes begin at 1:00 p.m. Central.
