KANE’OHE, Hawaii—Led by senior Linnea Johansson, the Oklahoma State women’s golf team is in third place after the first two rounds of the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational at 9-over 585.
The Cowgirls put up an even-par 288 for the second round, which pushed the team up three places on the leaderboard.
Johansson carded 8 birdies in the two rounds to finish with a 2-under 142. She is tied for seventh place with 18 holes to play.
Emma Broze shot even-par 72 on the second round, positioning her tied for 17th and a 2-over 146 combined.
Texas A&M’s Maddie Szeryk is in first place with a 6-under 138 for the day. The Aggies are in first place as a team through 36 holes with a 4-under 572 overall.
Kenzie Neisen and Chih-Min Chen both went even-par 72 for the second round of play. Neisen is tied for 29th place with a 4-over 148. Chen has a 5-over 149, which ties her for 34th place.
McCandren Mack played as an independent and shot a 3-over 147. She is tied for 25th place.
The Cowgirls are the two-time defending champions of the Thompson Invitational, and will play the final 18 holes on Wednesday.
