Creel begins defense of Oklahoma Open title today

Former University of Central Oklahoma golfer Josh Creel begins defense of his Oklahoma Open title today at Oak Tree East Country Club in Edmond. The 54-hole event offering more than $12,000 in prize money concludes Sunday. There is no charge for admission.

 Also in the field is 2014 champion Robby Ormand of Austin, Texas. Those two will be chased by a field of talented professionals striving to move up toward their goal of a spot on the PGA Tour, along with a amateurs who are fully capable of playing at an elite level.
