Area Youth Golfers Compete in Drive, Chip and Putt Championship Regional Qualifier for Once-In-A-Lifetime Opportunity to Compete at Augusta National
Top eight golfers – four male and four female – from Saturday’s competition at Southern Hills Country Club advance to National Finals at site of the Masters Tournament on Sunday, April 1
Conducted in partnership between the Masters Tournament, the PGA of America and the USGA, the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship is a free, nationwide youth golf development program open to boys and girls, ages 7-15, in four age categories.
One of 10 regional competitions across the United States will take place at Southern Hills Country Club the afternoon of September 16, 2017. The top male and female finishers across the four age divisions – 80 finalists in total – will participate in the Drive, Chip and Putt Championship National Finals.
Drive, Chip and Putt Championship local qualifying occurred in May, June, and July, at more than 260 sites throughout the United States. The top three scorers per venue, in each of four age categories in separate boys and girls divisions, advanced to 53 subregional qualifiers in July and August. Two juniors in each age and gender division moved on to the regional qualifiers.
