OKLAHOMA CITY (Sept. 27, 2017) – A strong third-place finish in the Western Washington Invitational earned Oklahoma Christian’s Pablo Duster recognition Wednesday as the Heartland Conference men’s golfer of the week.

Playing in just his second collegiate tournament, Duster shot 69-72-68–209 (-7) at Bellingham Golf and Country Club in Bellingham, Wash. Duster’s 7-under score tied for 20th on the all-time OC list for best 54-hole score in relation to par. The freshman from Buenos Aires, Argentina, now has played five of his six collegiate rounds at or under par.

He led OC to a runner-up team finish in the 16-team Western Washington, beating (among others) the No. 24-ranked host school.

Duster is the second OC player in as many tournaments for the Eagles to receive the Heartland’s weekly award. OC junior Juan Pallach earned that honor earlier this month after the Eagles won the team title in the Great American Conference Preview at Lake Hefner Golf Club’s North Course.
