Fleming off to strong start in Senior PGA Professional Championship

Tim Fleming, director of golf at Oklahoma City Golf & Country Club, shot an opening round of 4-under 68 and was tied for seventh after the first round of the Senior PGA Professional Championship at Port St. Lucie, Fla.

Jeff Combe, director of golf at Tulsa Country Club, shot even-par 72 and was tied for 80th. The cut will be to the low 90 and ties after the second round and low 70 and ties after the third round. The top 35 will qualify for the 2019 Senior PGA Championship at Oak Hill Country Club in Rochester, N.Y.

Jeff Tucker of Golf Club at Surrey Hills shot 76 in the first round and was tied for 218th. Kyle Flinton of Quail Creek Golf & Country Club shot 80 and was tied for 243rd.
