IRVING, Texas – For the sixth time since the formation of the Big 12, Oklahoma State’s men’s golf team produced at least four all-conference selections with the announcement of the All-Big 12 squad by the league office today.

Senior Zachary Olsen was joined by junior Kristoffer Ventura, sophomore Zach Bauchou and freshman Viktor Hovland as Cowboys named to the 11-player squad. The all-conference team is selected using the Golfweek/Sagarin Rankings with the highest positioned student-athletes as well as the Big 12 champion comprising the squad.

The Cowboys’ four all-conference selections were a league high and marked the second consecutive season OSU has had four all-league picks. OSU had four members of the conference’s first all-conference squad in 1997 and followed with four picks in 2000. The Cowboys had four All-Big 12 selections in 2005 before putting five players on the 2009 squad. Additionally, OSU had four picks in 2014.

Olsen, who is also a semifinalist for the Jack Nicklaus Award, was named to the squad following a campaign that has seen him log four top 10s, including a runner-up showing at the Aggie Invitational. Additionally, the Cordova, Tenn., native tied for 10th place at the Amer Ari Invitational, Valspar Collegiate and The Maxwell.

Ventura was honored for the third time in his career after earning a pair of runner-up finishes, placing second at the Paintbrush Invitational and tying for second at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate. Additionally, the Rygge, Norway native tied for fourth place at the Valspar Collegiate and tied for seventh at the Southern Highlands Collegiate.

Bauchou was honored after tallying five top-10 showings. His first came last fall at the Olympia Fields/Fighting Illini Invitational where he tied for fourth place. He shared second place at the Querencia Cabo Collegiate before tying for 10th place at the Southern Highlands Collegiate. The Forest, Va., native also posted top 10s in each of his last two outings, tying for sixth place at The Maxwell and finishing fourth at the Big 12 Championship.

Hovland was named to the squad after producing three top 10s during his rookie season, all of which came in his last three starts. After tying for eighth place at the Aggie Invitational, the Oslo, Norway native earned a runner-up finish at The Maxwell before tying for sixth place at the Big 12 Championship.
University of Oklahoma men’s golf senior Max McGreevy has been named to the 11-member 2017 All-Big 12 Team, the conference announced Monday.

This marks the second consecutive season McGreevy has received the honor.

The Edmond, Okla., native has competed in all 12 team events this season, posting a 71.31 scoring average, putting him on pace to record the lowest season scoring average in program history. The record is currently held by Anthony Kim, who logged a 71.36 average in 2004-05, according to records dating back to the 1993-94 season.

During his senior campaign, McGreevy has earned nine top-20 finishes, including six in the top 10 and three in the top five. He has also claimed two titles this season at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate and the Lone Star Invitational, marking three total wins in his career and making him the winningest golfer under eighth-year OU head coach Ryan Hybl.

McGreevy and the Sooners return to the course May 15-17 at the NCAA Stanford Regional
