Golden Eagles finish eighth in ORU Shootout

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The Oral Roberts men’s golf team played well in the final round but couldn’t make up any ground as the Golden Eagles finished in a tie for eighth overall at 923 (300-320-303-932).  Arkansas State (294-289-293-876) won the team championship, while Zach Bauchou of Oklahoma State, who was competing as an individual, won individual medalist honors.

Dennis Andersen, who is second on the team in stroke average for the season, played his first competitive round since October 13 after suffering an illness that kept him out.

Trevor Torgerson carded his fourth top 10 finish of the year after tying for ninth.

ORU continued to toy with the lineup in the final tournament before conference. ORU has only used the same starting five in two of the nine tournaments this year.
