Good times, good cause at Jim Beam Folds of Honor Classic

140 Participants supported the Folds of Honor this year at Shangri-La golf Club during the 2016 Jim Beam Folds Classic. ,000 has been raised over the past 6 years at this event. Thanks to all who worked so hard making this event possible.

Team True Turf, including players Corey Burd, David Jones, David Nowland, and Derrick Vest, topped the leaderboard in the 6th Annual Jim Beam Folds of Honor Classic held at Shangri-La Golf Club on Grand Lake Sunday, October 2, 2016. Integrity Audiology, including John Stewart, Mike Gaskins, Wes Moffatt, and David Dawley finished second, followed by Team Classic Golf Cars – Kenny Cole, John Lewis, Ryan Dalton and Chad Dalton.

Championship honors in the Second Flight went to Team Lexus of Tulsa – Travis Davidson, Jon Davidson, Todd Morrison and Kent Proctor – followed by the Jim Beam Team of Mike Magoulas, Bryan Wilkinson, Ron Lay, Roger Cook, and Ron Young.  Third place in the Second Flight was awarded Team Bailey Photo – Tom Bailey, Mike Hensley, Michael Snedden, and Brett Skinner.

Closest-to-the-Hole winners included Donna Altmiller, Tim Carson, Joe Justus, Travis Davidson, David Nowland, and Nevyle Cable.

The 2016 Jim Beam Folds Classic included 140 participants who enjoyed a fun day of golf, drink and food while supporting a most worthy cause. Now in its 6th year, the Jim Beam Classic and Shangri-La have raised over $75,000 for the charity.

“We are so proud of the players and sponsors who join us in supporting this important cause each year,” said Shangri-La PGA Director of Golf Rob Yanovitch.  “Thanks to all who gave so much to make this great day possible in honor of those who have given so much for our country,” he said.

The Folds of Honor Foundation is dedicated to standing in the financial gap for the more than one million dependents of America’s fighting men and women who have been adversely affected by war. The organization provides educational scholarships to the children and spouses of those killed or disabled while serving our nation.
