Gough leads OCU in Bearkat Invitational

MAGNOLIA, Texas – Natalie Gough of Oklahoma City University completed the Sam Houston State Bearkat Invitational with a 12th-place showing Tuesday at High Meadow Ranch Golf Club.

Gough, a freshman from Bixby, Okla., posted a 71-74-80–225 for OCU. Oklahoma City, ranked ninth in NAIA women’s golf, took ninth place to finish ahead of three NCAA Division I squads.

Gough sank eight birdies on the par-71, 6,164-yard course. The Stars produced a 313-314-312–939.

Lauryn Pritchard, a freshman from Allen, Texas, supplied OCU with a 79-74-77–230, which tied for 25th. Pritchard made par on 34 of the 54 holes. Melissa Eldredge, a junior from Eufaula, Okla., carded an 81-79-79–239.

The Stars’ McKenzie McCoy, a sophomore from Beggs, Okla., contributed an 87-87-76–250, while Lauren Behnken, a freshman from Tulsa, Okla., had an 82-90-88–260. Regan McQuaid, a senior from Tulsa, Okla., shot 80-84-80–244 competing unattached.

OCU hosts the NAIA Championship Fall Preview on Oct. 15-16 at Lincoln Park Golf Course in Oklahoma City.
