Hale notches tie for seventh in Southern Amateur Championship

Former Oklahoma Sooner Blaine Hale registered a tie for seventh in the Southern Amateur Championship which concluded Saturday at Chenal Country Club in Little Rock.

Hale shot a final-round 72 to finish three shots behind winner A.J. Ott of Fort Collins, Colo.

Current Sooners Quade Cummins and Thomas Johnson finished tied for 43rd and tied for 50th, respectively. Also tied for 50th was University of Arkansas golfer Tyson Reeder of Edmond.
