The 2013 Senior Hall of Fame Championship and Senior Professional Championship were held simultaneously on August 5 & 6 at Oakwood Country Club. The 36-hole individual stroke play event featured PGA Professionals from Arkansas, Kansas and Oklahoma competing for the coveted Hall of Fame title and the chance to represent the SCSPGA at the 2013 Southworth Senior PGA Professional National Championship, presented by Mercedes-Benz, October 10-13, at Creighton Farms in Aldie, Virginia, and River Creek Club in Leesburg, Virginia.

Mike Hammond, WinStar World Casino Golf Course in Thackerville, OK, mastered Oakwood’s demanding layout and a sudden-death playoff to claim both titles.

"The golf course was in great shape and played very tough both days," said Hammond.  "We had a lot of great players in the field… I’m honored to have played well and come out on top!"

Oakwood Country Club is no stranger to hosting SCSPGA events, as it has been the choice site of several championships throughout the years.

"It’s always an honor to host a SCSPGA event at our course," said Tim Mendenhall, PGA Head Professional. "It is a unique opportunity for our membership and the general public to see the experts in the business and game of golf competing,"

"Events like this can only happen through the generosity of our sponsors," said Cimarron Grubb, SCSPGA Tournament Director. "We truly appreciate our national sponsors and Mr. Craig Raguse for making this event a success… and hats off to the staff of Oakwood Country Club for the great golf course conditions and first-class hospitality!"
