Hughett, Coutant, Jackson qualify for U.S. Senior Amateur

Michael Hughett of Owasso, Kenneth Coutant of Dallas and William Jackson of Oklahoma City earned spots in the 2017 U.S. Senior Amateur during a qualifier at Quail Creek Golf & Country Club Thursday.

Hughett and Coutant each shot 71, while Jackson shot 73 and edged Terry Collier and Kirk Wright in a playoff. Those two will be first and second alternates.

The 2017 U.S. Senior Amateur is Aug. 26-31 at The Minikahda Club in Minneapolis, Minn. Complete results of the qualifier are below.
