STILLWATER – Karsten Creek Golf Club, home of the Oklahoma State golf programs, will serve as the host site for the 2018 Men’s and Women’s NCAA Championships as well as the NCAA Men’s Regional in 2021 and the NCAA Women’s Regional in 2022 it was announced today.
The event will mark the second time the Cowgirl program has hosted NCAA competition after the 2014 Central Regional was contested at Karsten Creek.
“It’s an unbelievable honor for Karsten Creek to be selected to host the 2018 NCAA Golf Championships,” said Oklahoma State women’s golf coach Courtney Jones. “To have the opportunity to welcome the best of college golf will be truly special for the community of Stillwater, which has a rich golf tradition and a passion of supporting the sport.”
The Tom Fazio design also hosted the Big 12 Invitational in 2001 and the Big 12 Women’s Championship in 2008.
On the men’s side, Karsten Creek has hosted the NCAA Championship twice, holding the event in 2003 and 2011.
“We built Karsten Creek to help our players achieve their dreams, prepare them for championships and to host championships ourselves,” OSU head coach Alan Bratton said. “We are grateful to the NCAA for trusting us to host such a great event and now it is up to us to put on a good show”
Additionally, the course served as the home to the Karsten Creek Collegiate in 1996, the NCAA Central Regional in 2001, the Ping/Golfweek Preview in 2002 and 2010 and the NCAA South Central Regional in 2009 as well as the NCAA Stillwater Regional in 2016.
