Lemieux awarded SCPGA Players Tour Scholarship


BROKEN ARROW – The South Central PGA Players Tour along with The Student Athlete Foundation announced that Joseph Lemieux of Newalla, Okla., has been awarded the inaugural SCSPGA Players Tour Scholarship. Joseph is a graduate of Christian Heritage Academy in Del City and is planning to attend Arkansas Monticello this fall. Joseph began playing golf on The South Central PGA Junior Tour in 2012 and his final event, the 2016 Oakley Cup, will be his 50th event with the Section over the past five seasons.

For more than 35 years, the South Central Section PGA Junior Golf Program has been committed to introducing, promoting and growing the game of golf to a diverse group of juniors, and instilling in them the positive, character-developing traits for which the game is so well known.

The Student Athlete Foundation along with the support of Brown O’Haver of Oklahoma is proud to present this scholarship to the South Central PGA Players Tour. The Student Athlete Foundation’s mission is to promote junior golf with a focus on skill development and scholarship opportunities. Brown O’Haver is a Public Insurance Adjusting firm based in Moore that is sponsoring the scholarship.
