Majidizadeh takes sixth for TU in Rebel Intercollegiate

Oxford, Miss. – Tulsa junior golfer Nadia Majidizadeh finished in sixth place after 54 holes at the Rebel Intercollegiate Sunday, while leading the Golden Hurricane women to a ninth-place team performance in the 15-team field.
 
The Golden Hurricane turned in a round of 304 to finish the event at the par-72 Ole Miss Golf Course with a total score of 913. Majidizadeh carded a final round 1-over par 73 for a season-best sixth-place performance with a 3-over par score of 219.
 
Freshman Mackenzie Medders also turned in her best season performance with a 21st place finish. She turned in a final round 78 for a score of 227. Senior Antonia Von Wnuck scored a 78 on Sunday as well and finished the event in 61st place with a score of 235, while senior Alex Haun and freshman Olivia Jackson tied for 66th place overall with totals of 236. Jackson turned in a score of 76 today, while Haun scored a round of 77.
 
The Hurricane also has three players competing as individuals, where their scores do not count in the team scoring. Sophomore Nikki Marquardt and freshman Johanna Samuelson tied for 45th place with 54-hole totals of 232. Samuelsson had a score of 75 today, while Marquardt finished with a score of 77. Freshman Brydie Hodge scored a round of 80 today and finished in 72nd place with a 238 total.
 
Troy won the team trophy with a score of 871, while Troy’s Fatima Cano claimed individual medalist honors with a seven-under par score of 209.
 
Tulsa is in action next at the Texas Tech Invitational, April 9-10, in Lubbock, Texas.
