McAllister, Braley lead talented field in OGA Junior

 

Logan McAllister and Matthew Braley each shot rounds of 66 to share the lead at the midway point of the stroke play portion of the Oklahoma Golf Association Junior Amateur Championship at Kickingbird Golf Course in Edmond.

The low 16 at the conclusion of 36 holes will enter the match play potion beginning Wednesday and concluding Thursday.

McAllister, a University of Oklahoma commit and the Class 3A champion from Christian Heritage Academy, is even with Braley, the Class 4A champion from
Cascia Hall in Tulsa. One stroke back are Dalton Daniel of Newcastle, who tied for second in Class 4A this spring, Blake Blaser of Edmond, who helped lead Edmond North to the Class 6A state championship and Evan Johnson of Edmond Memorial.

ShaeBug Scarberry of Purcell fired a 70 to lead the girls division by a shot over Nina Lee of Collinsville. Lurking at 72 are University of Tulsa commit Taylor Dobson of Broken Arrow and University of Oklahoma bound Kaitlin Milligan of Norman.
