McAllister shoots 69, five back in Boys Junior PGA Championship

Logan McAllister of Oklahoma City shot a 3-under 69 and is tied for 10th after the first round of the Boys Junior PGA Championship at The Country Club of St. Albans, Mo.

Dawson Ovard of Frisco, Texas, shot 8-under 64 and leads Jacob Bridgeman of Inman, S.C., by one shot. The tournament is a 72-hole stroke play event concluding Thursday.

James Roller of Jenks shot 76. Lane Wallace of Yukon shot 80. Both will have considerable ground to make the cut, currently projected at 2 over.
