McGreevy, Tidland, Rust advance to Tour final stage

Former Oklahoma Sooner golfer Max McGreevy of Edmond finished at 17-under and in second place in the Tour second stage qualifying event held at TPC Craig Ranch in McKinney, Texas.

Also among the 20 golfers to advance to third stage were veteran Chris Tidland of Stillwater, Dillon Rust of Edmond and former Oklahoma State golfer Ed Loar of Rockwell, Texas.

Logan McCracken of Oklahoma City (-3) and Ian Davis of Edmond (-2) both narrowly missed the 5-under cut.

Final stage is Dec. 7-10 at Whirlwind Golf Club in Chandler, Ariz. Players who advance to Final Stage are assured a Tour card for the following season, and the top 45 finishers (and ties) at Final Stage are assured a healthy number of starts in the first part of the 2018 Tour season.
