Several Oklahomans competed well in the star-studded Plantation Pro-Scratch event held last Thursday and Friday at The Plantation in Indio, Calif.

The team of Cameron Meyers of Edmond with talented amateur Joe Highsmith of Lakewood, Wash., placed second at 16-under par in the 36-hole event to pro Beau Hossler and amateur Taylor Wood who finished at 19-under.

Pros such as Phil Mickelson, Fred Couples, Steve Stricker, Kevin Stadler, Ricky Barnes, Kirk Triplett and Paul Goydos were in the field.

Tying for third place was the team of former Oklahoma State golfer now on the Web.com Tour Wyndham Clark with current OSU golfer Nick Heinen at 15-under. Also at that number was former OSU golfer Kevin Dougherty with amateur Stewart Hagestad. Rhein Gibson of Edmond playing with amateur Lee Daniels tied for 11th at 11-under.
