Mowery takes reins at Golf Club of Oklahoma

Ohio native Kirt Mowery is the new PGA head professional at The Golf Club of Oklahoma. Mowery was an assistant at Crestview Country Club in Wichita. He previously was an assistant at Shangri-La Resort in Afton from 2012-14 before a short stint at Awarii Dunes in Axtell, Neb.

Mowery is originally from Washington Courthouse, Ohio and is a graduate of the professional golf management program at Ferris State. He said he was excited to be on board at The Golf Club, where he started duties in November.

Also, PGA South Central Section Director of Tournament Operations Cimarron Grubb has resigned effective Jan. 8 to become a sales representative for Cutter & Buck covering Arkansas and Oklahoma.
