NSU women cruise to MIAA Conference Championship, Price takes second

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Baylee Price finished second individually and four Northeastern State golfers finished in the top six as the Riverhawks ran away with the MIAA Conference Championship Wednesday.

Price made four birdies to partially offset four double bogeys en route to a final round 78, finishing at 236, five shots behind individual winner Dakota Limkemann of Linderwood University, which finished second in the team race, 25 shots behind NSU.

The University of Central Oklahoma took third followed by Missouri Western. Complete results are at www.golfstat.com.

For NSU, Halie Wright closed with an 80 to finish tied for fourth at 242, Emma Mobert was a stroke back in a tie for sixth at 243 as was Kelsey Lumpkin. Lexi Armon closed with an 86 to tie for 11th at 245.

UCO was paced by Marla Souvanassing, who shot a final round 76 and finished third at 237. Sydney Roberts tied for fourth at 242 despite a final round of 88, while Anna Pool and Makena Mucciaccio tied for 16th at 253. J.T. Neuzil finished 40th at 271. The Bronchos were without teammate Grace Shin, who was diagnosed with acute leukemia two weeks ago.
