OBU, SNU finish top-five at GAC Preview

Final Results

OKLAHOMA CITY – Southern Nazarene closed out its fall season with a fifth place finish at the GAC Preview. SNU shot a 330 on the final day for a two-round total of 649.

In cold and blustery conditions, Kaylee Petersen was just two strokes worse than her Monday score as she led the way for the Crimson Storm. The freshman finished with a 158 total and a tie for an 11th place finish after an 80 in the final round. Petersen was one stroke out of the top ten. Bailey Blake was one stroke behind her Petersen and finished in a tie for 15th place at 159 after a 79 in the final round. Heidi Stafford and Liz Hargis finished their tournament in a tie for 26th place with a 166 total as Stafford shot an 85 while Hargis posted an 86 in the final round. Sarah Rovenstine tied for 32nd place and 168 total.

Rachel Donaldson and Ashley Moore each played as individuals as Donaldson tied for 26th at 166 (83-83) while Moore finished 45th at 181 (94-87).

Henderson State breezed its way to a win as the Reddies totaled a 622. Henderson State was 15 strokes ahead of the next closest team.

Harding finished in second place with a 637. Southern Arkansas and Oklahoma Baptist tied for third as both teams shot 641 and Arkansas-Monticello finished six strokes behind SNU in sixth. Northwestern Oklahoma State finished in seventh at 657.

Southern Arkansas’s Helle Leed won the individual title with a total of 152. Leed won by two strokes over Arkansas-Monticello’s Frida Rydberg and Henderson State’s Hanna Brauburger.
