OBU takes one-shot lead into final round of Fall Invitational at Shawnee CC

SHAWNEE – Oklahoma Baptist men’s golf holds a one-shot lead midway through the OBU Fall Invitational.
 
The Bison shot 10-over par 294 in the opening round of their 36-hole event, besting Cameron by one stroke at the Shawnee Country Club.
 
Hudson Hoover shot his first under-par round of the fall, finishing at two-under 69, and is two shots off the lead. Hoover is tied for second place after posting the fifth sub-70s round of the year for OBU.
 
Senior Kyle Perdew is tied for fifth place after an opening 72, and Luke Garner sits tied for 15th place at 76.
 
Mason Nutt was the fourth scorer for the Bison after a 77, and Lucas Coapman shot 79 to round out the team.
 
Shawnee native Ryan Epperly used 79 strokes to lead three individual competitors after one round. Shane Black shot 83 and Tanner Oxford finished in 84.
 
The tournament will conclude after one final round Tuesday at the Shawnee Country Club.
