OCU boosts depth with South African, OBU transfer

Oklahoma City University reeled in Rupert Kaminski and Zach Oliver for its men’s golf squad for 2015-16.

Kaminski reached No. 1 on the Central Gauteng National Order of Merit in South Africa, while Oliver captured the 2015 Sooner Athletic Conference individual championship.
Kaminski joins the Stars after a decorated junior career in Johannesburg, South Africa, currently holding No. 232 in the World Amateur Golf Ranking. Among Kaminski’s accomplishments were winning the 2013 Parkview Golf Club match play while also becoming the youngest ever winner of the Junior and Amateur Silver Vase Trophies at Royal Johannesburg and Kensington Golf Club.

Oliver, a senior from Checotah, Okla., comes to OCU from Oklahoma Baptist. In 2014-15, Oliver became a second-team NAIA all-American while producing a 71.79 stroke average, good for fifth nationally.
