BOULDER CITY, Nev. – Oklahoma City University maintained its third-place position in the team standings of the Battle at Boulder Creek at Boulder Creek Golf Club.
Oklahoma City’s Melissa Eldredge took a share of 11th place individually. The Stars, ranked second in NAIA women’s golf, finished ahead of four NCAA Division I teams.
OCU posted a 324-307-308–939 to end up behind UNLV, playing on its home course, and Georgetown. Mackenzie Raim of UNLV won the tournament. Eldredge, a freshman from Eufaula, Okla., produced a 75-75-72–222 while playing as an individual.
Caroline Goodin, a senior from Oklahoma City, supplied OCU with a 77-73-74–224 to tie for 13th, while Anna Mikish, a senior from Choctaw, put together an 81-78-75–234, good for 20th.
The Stars’ Savannah Moody, a junior from Aledo, Texas, compiled an 84-76-80–240, and Kailey Campbell, a senior from Oktaha, picked up an 87-80-79–246. Emma Allen, a junior from Broken Arrow, had an 82-85-91–258.
Other OCU individuals were Raegan Barnes (80-89-75–244), Katie-Lee Wilson (85-85-85–255) and Regan McQuaid (87-84-89–260).
The temperature at the course ranged from 39 degrees to 60 degrees. Winds were nominal at 6 mph at the start of the round.
OCU has added the Rogers State Hillcat Classic to its schedule. The Stars compete in the tournament 8 a.m. March 20 at Bailey Ranch Golf Club in Owasso, Okla.
