OCU knotted for sixth in Husky Invitational

SUGAR LAND, Texas – Oklahoma City University sat tied for sixth place after 36 holes of the Houston Baptist Husky Invitational on Monday at Riverbend Country Club.

The Stars, ranked fourth in NAIA women’s golf, posted a 313-319-632 to be in front of four NCAA Division I teams. Kailey Campbell led OCU by tying for 12th place.
Campbell, a sophomore from Oktaha, Okla., carded a 77-77-154 for Oklahoma City. Campbell made par 22 times Monday on the par-72, 6,084-yard course.

OCU’s Emma Allen put together a score of 77-81-158. Allen, a freshman from Tulsa, Okla., sank a par 20 times among the 36 holes played. Katie-Lee Wilson contributed an 80-79-159 to the Stars. Wilson, a sophomore from Owasso, Okla., knocked in four birdies.

Caroline Goodin compiled a 79-82-161, and Anna Mikish had an 80-85-165 for Oklahoma City.

Conditions featured 63-degree weather at the start of the day with no wind. The temperature climbed to 81 degrees with winds at 15 mph gusting to 21 mph.
The final round of the tournament happens 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.
