OCU Stars win Battle at Primm by 21 strokes

PRIMM VALLEY, Nev. – Oklahoma City University dominated the Battle at Primm by 21-strokes Tuesday at Primm Valley Gulf Club.

Two Stars tied for first and added a third in the top five on the par 72, 7,131-yard course.
Anthony Marchesani and Jamie Warman tied for the individual crown. Marchesani, a junior from Rosebud, Victoria, Australia, provided a 71-68-67-206, while Warman a junior from Perth, Australia, turned in a 66-70-70-206.

Matthew Cheung, a sophomore from Brisbane, Australia, finished third with a 72-72-64-208.

OCU’s Garrison Mendoza, a sophomore from Clinton, Okla., shot a 73-74-70-217, while Sam Russell, a senior from Eastbourne, East Sussex, England, added 73-72-80-225.

The temperature started at 60 degrees with 9 mph wind. The temperature rose to 77 degrees during the day and 7 mph wind.
