Oklahomans rolling in Adams Tour event

Led by Matt Mabrey’s 8-under total of 134, players with Oklahoma ties occupy seven of the top 20 spots at the halfway point of this week’s Adams Tour event at Victoria (Texas) Country Club.

Mabrey, who recently concluded his playing career at the University of Tulsa, is currently tied for second, four shots behind leader Scott Kelly, who is 12-under after consecutive 65s. Mabrey shot rounds of 67-67.

Also, former Central Oklahoma star Josh Creel is tied for fifth at 6-under, former Oklahoma Sooner Charlie Saxon, Dillon Rust of Edmond and Talor Gooch of Choctaw are tied for 10th at 5-under, Cameron Meyers of Edmond and former University of Tulsa golfer Chris Worrell are tied for 16th at 4-under.

The tournament concludes Saturday.
