NEBRASKA CITY, Neb.  – Four shots back of the lead entering the final round, the Oral Roberts University men’s golf team cut the deficit in half, but couldn’t get to the top of the leaderboard in the UNO Invitationa, finishing third overall at 896 (302-297-297), two shots back of Omaha and Weber State, who tied for the team title at 894.

News & Notes
–       Scott Newell finished third individually for the second time in as many tournaments this season

–       ORU has finished first and third, respectively, in the first two tournaments of the season. Last year, ORU only finished third or better in three of the 10 tournaments

–       Ollie Penn finished fourth on the team and t-29th overall, meaning the Golden Eagles counted his score in his first competition for the Golden Eagles.
