ORU snares second place at UALR Classic

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. – The Oral Roberts women’s golf team posted its best score of the tournament in the final round and took home a runner-up finish with a 54-hole score of 930 (313-309-308) at the UALR Women’s Golf Classic. Middle Tennessee led the entire tournament and finished at 921 (306-311-304) for the team title. 
ORU has finished in the top three in each of the last four tournaments.
 
Alheli Moreno shot a 79 in the final round, but finished at 230 (77-74-79) for the tournament to tie for seventh individually. Shinwoo Lee’s233 (76-79-78) put her alone in 13th and Paty Torres shot the best ORU round of the day with a 75 to move up to a tie for 16th at 235 (81-79-75).
 
Alejandra Acosta (79-77-81) and Paola Aviles (81-80-76) each tied for 23rd with 54-hole scores of 237.
 
The tournament marked the second time this year, and the first since a victory at MSU/Payne Stewart Memorial, in which all five Golden Eagles have finished in the top 25.
