ORU women set records, hold lead in Hobble Creek Fall Classic

SPRINGVILLE, Utah –  A school record 36-hole score has the Oral Roberts women’s golf team in first place after two rounds of the Hobble Creek Fall Classic. ORU shot 574 (285-289) to grab a two-shot lead over New Mexico State, and the two teams are 12 shots clear of third place.
The 574 was a school record for 36 holes, topping the 577 from the Jackrabbit Invitational from the 2014-15 season. ORU’s 285 in the first round was the second best 18-hole score in school history.
Rebecca Hnika shot her two best rounds as a Golden Eagle with a 69-70 and is currently in third place. Natalie Mattison also had a career day with her two best rounds in an ORU uniform.
