SPRINGVILLE, Utah – Rebecca Hnidka matched the school record for the lowest 54-hole score at 212, and the Oral Roberts women’s golf team set a new mark  at 869 as the Golden Eagles took second at the Hobble Creek Fall Classic in Springville, Utah.
ORU’s 869 was three shots clear of the previous school record of 872, which the Golden Eagles shot at the Jackrabbit Invitational in both 2011 and 2015. Hnidka’s 212 matched Pamela Ontiveros’ 212 from the UALR/North Texas Golf Classic in 2007.
ORU’s 36-hole score of 574 was also a school record and the 285 in the first round was the best 18-hole score in school history. All five Golden Eagle golfers finished inside the top 20, with all four counters finishing inside the top 15.
Annie Lacombe shot 220 for the tournament, a 10 shot improvement over her best tournament in 2016-17. Natalie Mattison carded the second top 20 finish of her career, improving her best 54-hole score by 13 shots. Kennedy Ishee earned her fourth consecutive top 10 finish dating back to last year. Ishee has shot 220 in each of the first two tournament of 2017. Beatriz Garcia posted her fourth consecutive top 15 finish dating back to last year, tying for 12th this week.
