ORU’s Burrows leads All-Summit League first team

NEWTON, Kan. – Oral Roberts sophomore golfer Cody Burrows has been named to the All-Summit League First Team for the second consecutive season after leading the Summit League in scoring through the first nine tournaments of the year.

Burrows is tops in the league with a 72.48 stroke average, which if it stays would be the second lowest on record at ORU. He has a pair of top-five finishes and four top-10 placements. He carded his season-low round of 67 twice (Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate, Bob Sitton Invitational) this year.

In his most recent tournament, Burrows finished a rain-shortened event at -4 after a pair of 70s to finish in a tie for fourth. He was the runner-up at the Bob Sitton Invitational after a final round 67 put him at 210 (-3) for the tournament.
