NEW ORLEANS – Another solid round at the All-State Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate has the Oklahoma State women’s golf team in contention for its second tournament win of the season.
Playing in another tough tournament that features six of the nation’s top 15 teams, the Cowgirls finished the day at even par and are in second place trailing Florida by seven strokes.
The Gators took sole possession of the clubhouse lead after shooting a 7-under 281. Stanford’s Kim maintains her lead atop the individual leaderboard at 6-under.
Chih-Min Chen continued her great play shooting an even par and is tied for fourth. She trails Stanford’s Lauren Kim by just three strokes heading into the final round.
Maddie McCrary shot the low round of the day for Oklahoma State with a 2-under. McCrary added on five more birdies giving her a two day total of nine, placing her among the tournament’s birdie leaders. The sophomore is tied for 12th just one stroke off a top ten place.
Linnea Johansson ends the day tied for 21st at 1-over after a second round 74.
Even though Kenzie Neisen sits tied for 33rd the New Prague, Minn., native had five birdies of her own, adding to Oklahoma State’s tournament best 34 birdies.
Isabella Deilert shot a 6-over 78 and is tied for 64th.
