“I am very proud of our guys and the work they do in the classroom,” OU head coach Ryan Hybl said. “Most people cannot understand the commitment our guys have to make in order to be good on the course and in the classroom. I appreciate how they go about their business.”
From the conference’s 10 universities, 36 student-athletes were named to the first team, and five earned second-team selections.
The Sooners will begin postseason competition next week, April 24-26, at the Big 12 Championship in Hutchinson, Kan.

Seniors Haley Hill (Health & Exercise Science) and Maggie Neece (Communication), junior Rylee Pedigo (Communication) and sophomore Julienne Soo (Business) all earned first-team honors for the first time this season.

“I’m very proud of the hard work our student-athletes are putting into their work in the classroom,” OU head coach Veronique Drouin-Luttrell said. “As a coach, I always put an emphasis on academics. These girls came to school to get an education, and they are true examples of being students first and athletes second.”
