ORLANDO, Fla.–Oklahoma State’s women’s golf team carded a 283 during its third round on Tuesday to finish third at the inaugural ANNIKA Intercollegiate at Reunion Resort’s Watson Course.
The Cowgirls’ 5-under score was the second lowest of the day and gave them a 2-under total of 862 for the event. OSU finished a stroke behind runner-up Arizona at the par-72, 6,247-yard layout. South Carolina carded the low round of the day with a 282 to finish at 10-under 854 and atop the leaderboard.
South Carolina’s Justine Dreher posted a 71 to finish at 9-under 207 and one shot clear of the field in the individual race.
OSU was led by Maddie McCrary, who posted a 68 to climb into a tie for fifth place at 212. The freshman posted a bogey-free outward nine that included birdies at the second and eighth holes to turn at 2-under 34. She sandwiched her lone bogey of the day at the 14th with birdies at Nos. 13 and 15 before a birdie at the 18th got her to her 4-under number.
Classmate Kenzie Neisen closed with a 69 to move into a tie for 18th at 217, while sophomore Isabella Deilert turned in a 71 to finish at 219 and tied for 25th place.
Freshman Alexis Sadeghy tied for 29th place at 220 after closing with a 75.
Sophomore Linnea Johansson’s 77 tied her for 34th place at 221.
The Cowgirls will be back in action on Oct. 6 when they begin play at the Windy City Collegiate in Wilmette, Ill.
