TOLEDO, Ohio – Oklahoma State’s Nick Heinen earned his first collegiate victory this week at the rain-shortened Inverness Intercollegiate at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio.

The Cowboy junior posted rounds of 68 and 66 on Monday before Tuesday’s final round was washed out due to heavy rain and lighting at the par-71, 7,192-yard layout. Heinen’s 8-under 134 total was good for co-medalist honors with Kaleb Johnson of Michigan State, who carded rounds of 65 and 69.

During his opening round, Heinen posted a bogey-free outward nine of 3-under 33 before turning in an even-par second nine of 35. The Edmond, Okla., native carded four birdies on his outward nine to start his second round, once again turning in 3-under 33. His closing nine featured an eagle and a birdie on his way to posting 2-under score of 33.

Sophomore Tyson Reeder earned a top-10 finish of his own after posting scores of 70 and 69 to finish at 3-under 139 and tied for ninth place.

Sophomore Viktor Hovland followed an opening 71 with a 69 to finish at 140 and tied for 12th place.
