University of Oklahoma golfer Brad Dalke will play his first PGA Tour event when he competes April 21-24 in the Valero Texas Open.

The tournament regularly grants an exemption to the winner the previous year of the Junior PGA Championship. Dalke won that event in 2015 at Miramont Country Club in Bryan, Texas, in a playoff over Wilson Furr. Dalke shot a record-setting 62 in the first round of that event.

Dalke, of Hobart, Okla., is playing his freshman year at OU after famously committing to the school when he was 12. He will be competing for the Sooners this weekend in The Maxwell at Dornick Hills Country Club in Ardmore. Dalke’s best finish thus far as a collegian was second place in a tournament in Hawaii last fall.
