Phillips edges Glenn in PGA Senior Match Play Championship

Tracy Phillips of Cedar Ridge edged George Glenn 1 up in the championship match of the  2015 South Central PGA Senior Match Play Championship at Auburn Hills Golf Course in Wichita Tuesday.

 It took a round of 5-under par for Phillips to edge the 72-year-old Glenn, who is the director of the Tulsa Golf Association. Glenn was 4-under on his ball.

Earlier in the day Phillips edged Mark Fuller of Surrey Hills Golf Club in Yukon 1 up in 20 holes, while Glenn rolled past Fred Forbes of Stillwater 3 and 2 in the other semifinal.

Phillips will be playing Michael Boyd July 21 in the finals of the SCS PGA Match Play Championship at Forest Ridge in a match delayed by rain, giving him a chance to sweep the section match play championships.
