Phillips is alternate for U.S. Senior Open

Tracy Phillips of Tulsa finished as first alternate in a rain-delayed qualifier for the 2015 U.S. Senior Open, shooting a 1-under par 71 at the Miramont Country Club in Bryan, Texas. The U.S. Senior Open is June 25-28 at Del Paso Country Club in Sacramento, Calif.

Phillips was a long-shot alternate for the 2014 Senior PGA Championship, but got in the field at the last minute and made the cut. He will compete in the 2015 Senior PGA Championship May 21-24 at the French Lick Resort in French Lick, Ind. Phillips is the director of instruction at Cedar Ridge Country Club in Broken Arrow.
