Polhill, Scarberry lead Oklahoma team to victory in Red River Team Challenge

Brock Polhill of Edmond won the boys division and ShaeBug Scarberry of Purcell captured the girls division to help lead the members of the Oklahoma Junior Golf Tour to a 16.5-11.5 victory over their counterparts from the Texas Junior Golf Tour in the Red River Team Challenge Sunday at Dornick Hills Golf & Country Club in Ardmore.

Polhill shot rounds of 72-71 to edge J. Holland Humphries of Austin, Texas, by a shot, 143-144. Andrew Goodman of Norman was tied for third at 145 (74-71) with Jordan Wilson of Edmond (76-69).

Also in the top 10 were Jaxon Dowell of Edmond (146), Logan McAllilster of Oklahoma City (146) and Jared Strathe of Owasso (147).

Scarberry shot blistering rounds of 74-68 to run away with the girls championship, finishing eight shots ahead of Hanna Liu of Austin and Katie Finley of Ardmore, who tied for second at 150. Also in the top 10 from Oklahoma were Catalina Mika Ramos of Broken Arrow (153), Natalie Gough of Bixby (155) and Alesia Gonzales of Tulsa (156). Complete results are below.
